LOCATIONAt the heart of Hong Kong Island on the 3rd floor of The Landmark.
DETAILSWith a distinctive colour palette of ruby red and jet black, L’Atelier screams contemporary chic from its shiny tiled floors to its upholstered leather chairs. An entrance lined with hundreds of wine bottles is followed by a collection of vibrant red bar stools that surround an open kitchen where diners can indulge in a fusion of French and Asian cuisine.
FOOD & BEVERAGERenowned chef Joel Robuchon has created a series of tantalizing menus from menu dejeuner to decouverte and small portion selections. The innovative cuisine is a testament to the French tradition, yet adheres to Asian sensibilities. For entrée dine on the likes of king crab and avocado salad with buffalo mozzarella and extra virgin olive oil or Maine lobster in sherry vinegar mayonnaise over iceberg lettuce. For main-course a dish of pan-seared sea bass with lemongrass foam and stewed baby leeks is light and flavoursome, as well as the cod fish fillet marinated in sake and mirin with miso sauce. There is also a well-rounded selection of carnivorous dishes from slowly braised veal cheeks to thick sliced wagyu beef sirloin. Be sure to save room for dessert, with delectable options such as chestnut ice-cream with aged rum sponge cake and crunchy pearls or a more eclectic dish for brave-hearted diners of dill flavoured cream cheese soup with mango sorbet and fresh raspberry.
