LOCATIONAt the end of Ferry Road, Bray overlooking the Thames. Just under an hours drive from central London.
DETAILSPristine white-linen draped tables, complete with glistening silverware and crystal, fill the comfortable surroundings with graceful charm. Some, positioned in the vast picture window, afford river views, whilst other more intimate spaces to the rear allow diners to sink into green silk banquettes and enjoy the ebb and flow of the river – and the restaurant – reflected in the mirrored panels that adorn the wall.
FOOD & BEVERAGEUnashamedly French the exquisitely executed cuisine, exemplifies Alain Roux’s unbridled passion for food. Menus change with the seasons to reflect the freshest and best produce available, and guests can choose between full à la carte menus or the menu exceptionnel, available for both lunch and dinner. Diners will be treated to the likes of terrine of foie gras with lightly peppered rabbit fillets and glazed with a sauternes wine jelly, salad of Chinese cabbage leaves and a violet mustard flavoured brioche toast or roasted challandais duck with a lemon and thyme jus, potato and garlic mousseline. At lunch, there is also a lighter option available – the three-course menu gastronomique, which is perfect for business lunches or catching up with friends. Dishes include carrot soup scented with ginger, served with garden peas gnocchi and diced prawns and roasted rib of Angus beef, simmered tarbais beans and girolles, verjuice sauce with sultanas. To end your meal opt for one of the beautiful dessert selections such as the ocumaré chocolate parfait served on a cinnamon struzel sable with poached cherries in a kriek beer or end your meal with the large board of French and English unpasteurised farm cheeses that offers an unparalleled extravaganza of textures, flavours, and aromas.
