DETAILSEntering the restaurant, diners encounter a serene garden courtyard, setting the mood for a relaxed, chic and indulgent meal experience. The interior of the restaurant is even more sensuous, with rich wooden floors and furniture, bright cushions and lovely floral accents on each table. The table settings display simple Thai elegance at its best, and each one looks picture perfect within Mahanaga’s open plan Moroccan-style pagodas. Before you get settled into a cosy table overlooking the garden, sidle up to one of the plush stools at Mahanaga’s opulent bar and enjoy a pre dinner (or mid afternoon) cocktail.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE Mahanaga’s menu is large and deserving of a thorough read through. Don’t be surprised if you keep changing your mind; each dish sounds more intriguing and delicious than the one before. Overwhelmed gastronomes can opt for one of the restaurant’s popular four course set menu options, which include an appetiser, soup, main course and dessert. Following its Western influences, courses are served sequentially, encouraging an individual appreciation of each dish. Highlights include the deep fried duck breast mixed with glass noodle, bean sprout and jelly mushroom spring rolls with jujube sauce as well as the grilled beef with snow fish. Mahanaga is not a traditional Thai food experience, rather it offers a medley of flavours and influences, continually surprising and delighting its patrons with splashes of culinary creativity.
