Set in a secluded area of the Swan Valley, Lamont's invites you to sample their full range of locally hand crafted wines which they have been perfecting over a 30 year period. The cellar door is also a wonderful place for lunch as you pore over the delectable small plate offerings that Fiona Lamont has created using fresh seasonal and regional produce.
If you feel like being with nature, wooden benches can be found amongst native trees and shrubbery, giving you wonderful views of the surrounding vineyards. Open during weekends and public holidays, Lamont's Swan Valley is the ideal place to sit back, relax and enjoy.
FOOD
The menu at Lamont's Swan Valley is vastly different from their other venues, offering a 'casual rustic grazing menu' which keeps in theme to the winery setting. Fiona suggests that the plates are best shared, thus creating your own taste table. Selections such as the Garlic White Pepper Dusted Squid with Lime Aioli, Moroccan Lamb Bites with Saffron Yoghurt, or the Grilled Swan Valley Marron with Salsa Verde, can be devoured while enjoying one of your favourite Lamont's wines. If it's a family outing, a kids menu is also available. But whatever the case, leave some room for their much talked about homemade slices. Think Coconut Jam Slice, Chocolate Brownies or the decadent Caramel Slice. A perfect finsh to a day out in the valley.
WINE
The advantage of being at a winery, are the great deals that are offered through cellar door. Not only can the wine be enjoyed during lunch, but Lamont's can also organise freight for cases Australia wide. While the Lamont's range is varied in terms of region, a good proportion of the fruit comes directly from the Swan Valley. Varietals such as the sparkling Methode Champenoise, Chardonnay, Verdelho and Shiraz, are all produced from the surrounding vineyards on the property.
