Owners Hans Lang and Marianne Kempf are both certified master chefs from Germany and owe their success to a simple yet poignant philosophy: “To be innovative in the future, one has to respect the past.” From this, they have created a menu that combines traditional cooking techniques with modern ideas to produce an array of dishes you’ll be hard-pressed to find anywhere else.

The menu changes rapidly on a weekly to monthly basis showcasing the talent of Head Chef Marianne Kempf's penchant for keeping dishes different and in season. Utlizing the very best of produce available for that certain period of time, the menu at The Gala certainly keeps you guessing every time.

The wine selection gives you an insight of how important this element is, to compliment the prodigious menu that is on offer. Hans Lang has gone to extreme lengths to source wines that are rarely available in WA let alone Australia. The list is extensive and varied even as far as offering you a selection of exclusive wines available in half size bottles. All in all, the wine selection at The Gala Restaurant is certainly a labour of love.
