The Publican Group has created a venue with unique design features including aviaries framing the entrance, one-off custom-made hummingbird carpet and custom designed wallpaper that is both contemporary and stylish. FOOD & BEVERAGEThe Aviary’s restaurant, The Birdcage, encompasses the fragrant flavours Western Australia has to offer with its simple yet distinctive seasonal menu created from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Peck (like a bird) on some veal croquettes with shallots and house mustard or asahi battered prawns with soy and lime caramel to fire up your appetite for the gastronomic journey ahead. An entrée of wasabi tuna, watermelon jelly, wakami and candy chilli is utterly unfettered in its flavours, whilst a main meal of cinnamon and cider pork belly with crumbed cheek, seared scallops, and 38 Dirty Granny purée is a comforting dish that is both innovative and well-presented. The affordable wine list showcases some of the best varietals from the local regions and a select few international drops. There are also bird inspired cocktails on the drinks menu and a well-rounded selection of boutique local and international beers.
FUNCTIONS The Aviary is a unique function venue spanning across two levels with a unique open-air roof top bar. It can cater for a variety of functions, starting from an intimate cocktail party for 30 guests on the roof or for a larger function of up to 600 guests split over the two levels. The Lounge is ideal for corporate entertaining and can accommodate up to 150 people for a standing function whilst The Bird Cage, can host a private sit-down dinner for up to 120 guests.
