DETAILS
One of Perth's more glamorous restaurants, Opus at The Richardson creates a refined atmosphere with unobtrusive service and inventive cuisine. Interior design, by Scott Wilson, has produced a feeling of old-fashioned elegance, achieved by a combination of formal gestures and natural materials.
The small luxurious Cocktail Bar glitters with shades of Classic Calcutta Gold, Onyx Marble and Copper, offset by the padded leather bar front. It's the perfect place for an aperitif or cocktail. The adjacent Palm Terrace serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a conservatory environment, and is a great spot for people-watching.
FOOD
The cuisine at Opus at The Richardson is inventive, with French origins and Oriental and modern Australian flavours. Chef Todd Cheavins presents his creations in seasonal menus, reflecting the availability of local produce.
WINE
Opus boasts its own Wine Annex; the raised semi-private section of the restaurant displays a library of fine wines against a natural stone backdrop - ideal for wine tastings.
FUNCTIONS
A Private Dining Room is separated from the main restaurant by frameless sliding glazed panels. Designed to comfortably seat twelve guests, it provides an inviting respite for a private party or special occasion.
Profiled by de Groots Media
Opus at The Richardson is located at The Richardson Hotel in Perth CBD; Perth’s newest addition to the five-star accommodation scene. Still in its infancy, this lavishly decorated restaurant is destined to ‘up the ante’ within Perth’s fine dining circuit. A powerful mix of onyx, gold mirrors, mosaic tiling and a slate wall have been used to decorate the interior, creating opulent surroundings you could admire for days. A smartly decorated alfresco area allows diners to enjoy an intimate dinner under the stars. As you would expect with such a luxurious setting, the service is just as smart. Staff in suits are attentive to their diner’s needs, displaying a full knowledge of the menu and perfect suggestions from their list of 300 international wines.
Lunch at Opus at The Richardson is a little more casual than dinner but the fine dining experience still prevails with menu options including Asian duck salad and Saffron and prawn risotto. As for dinner, the mood is a little more romantic and diners are encouraged to take their time to enjoy a dining, rather than eating, experience. The Tasting Menu (similar to a degustation menu) includes six courses sampling the best Opus has to offer. Soups, appetizers, mains, a grill selection and desserts display classic and modern dishes meticulously prepared by a chef who knows his flavours. Book now before the waitlist begins!
