The Duchess is a beautifully furnished space swathed in a feminine palette of gold, beige, mahogany and crimson. It is both sumptuous and sophisticated. Pendant crystal chandeliers dangle gracefully from the ceiling over the long marble bar, flaunting their polished glow. Patrons can sit at bar benches and stools, or regular table seating towards the back of the room and outside on the patio. Head Chef Adam Giddings delivers both small and substantial plates featuring Modern Australian bar food with a touch of grandeur. The menu incorporates dishes like baked camembert with rosemary served with crostini, soft shell crab lightly dusted on a bean shoot and daikon salad and Yellowtail Kingfish ceviche. Charcuterie and cheese boards are available for groups who wish to share, and there are also gourmet pizzas. The wine list features international and local drops with a focus on pink, French rose and rose bubbles. Duchess also boasts a large variety of top-shelf spirits with a strong Vodka focus. FUNCTIONS
The Duchess Bar caters for varying sized functions from 10 to 120 people. The stylish private dining room can host seated events for up to 20 guests or cater for 35 for a cocktail soiree. High Tea is served on Saturdays 12-5pm or by request for an intimate function in the private dining room. You can choose from Elegant Tea, Sparkling Elegant Tea or Champagne Elegant Tea. Bookings are essential.
