C Restaurant Lounge

I went for the high tea with a group of about 15. The view was obviously amazing and was an experience seeing the city like that. But I assure you thats all your paying for. I couldn't tell you what lunch or dinner is like. But the high tea was so disappointing. All the sandwiches were soggy and sticking to the plate, and the scones... crisp and brown. the flavour was average and the texture shocking. I thought at least the scones would be ok considering its one of the main aspects of the whole event. As for the other tart's available majority of them were average. The lemon meringue was probably the best tasting thing there. Two of the guests waited an hour for a flat white, which supposedly didn't come because its not on the set menu? Although we ordered it four times, as far as I am aware you give the customer what they want to order?. customer service was ok other than that incident, but the lack of communication and lack of order that day was poor. I am by no mean extremely fussy, I just expect good food for what you pay, especially the fact there were so many good reviews for the high tea. Definately not this time. 18/01/2012

Last night, we went to the C Restaurant Lounge for dinner. The view was out of this world, the meals were a work of art. Each plate came to our table that looked liked a fairy tale. The food even tasted exceptional. The desserts were also a work of art but unfortunately over the top sweet. I can recommend this restaurant if you want to go for a experience of a life time, speak with some real French wait persons. If you expect the plate to be packed with food, rather go to a diner. This is the real thing that most critics speak about when they say it is quality not quantity, but after you have had all 3 meals and a few side dishes (we had two (vegetables and the most exceptional shoestring hot chips)enough for all of us) then this is the place for you to impress who ever you want to invite. I highly recommend the Premium West Australian fish of the Day (There was a small surcharge but who cares it was worth every mouth full). Its not cheap but wow, the view makes up for it. 25/09/2009

The High Tea on a sunny afternoon is a fabulous way to show off Perth to any vistors. Definitely skip lunch though as it includes savouries and is generous in quantity. 13/09/2009

C restaurant is fun for a late night drink and dessert or snack when you have guests from interstate. I have not been there for dinner. The service has always been great and it does display a wonderful view of Perth all light up in the evening. 17/07/2009
