DETAILSOnce you step inside Restaurant Amuse, you are transported to another dimension of culinary utopia. The dining room in muted hues of chocolate and suede, accented by soft halos of light, creates an atmosphere so mesmerizing, that coupled with the amazing genius of owners, Chef Hadleigh Troy and wife Carolynne, it has resulted in Restaurant Amuse taking out the top accolades of Best Fine Dining Restaurant and Outstanding Restaurant of the Year for 2009 from the Restaurant and Catering Industry Association of WA. Within just two years of opening, Restaurant Amuse has managed to capture the attention of Perth foodies by their wonderful repertoire of both adventurous but classically executed food that keeps the diners in suspense of what’s coming next. This brilliance is showcased in a nine course degustation which allows the diner to weave their way through various tastes and textures that have, up until now, been privy to the diners of Perth. A five course petit degustation is also on offer from Tuesday through to Thursday for those who would like an introductory to this wonderful gastronomic voyage. Teamed with an imaginative and carefully chosen wine list and service that is both polished and professional, Restaurant Amuse provides a satisfying and memorable dining experience to withhold.
CHEFChef Hadleigh Troy’s resume is undoubtedly impressive. Having worked at The Loose Box and Jackson’s Restaurant after his apprenticeship, he then moved to Melbourne to work at Langton’s Restaurant under Chef Walter Trupp and together they went on to help open The Brasserie by Philippe Mouchel under the legendary Bocuse chef Philippe Mouchel. After stints in London which included the Michelin starred likes of The Greenhouse in Mayfair and La Noisette in Knightsbridge, Hadleigh together with his wife Carolynne returned home to Perth and opened Restaurant Amuse in 2007. Hadleigh continues to be on the forefront of excellence, having been nominated as Best New Talent in Australia from Australian Gourmet Traveller in 2008 and receiving the award as Best Chef for 2009 from the Restaurant and Catering Industry Association of WA
PRIVATE DINING ROOMRestaurant Amuse offers the option of a private dining area which is sectioned off from the main dining room. This area hold 10-12 people and allows for a special and personalised dinner to take place. Please contact Carolynne for further information.
