LOCATIONNear the intersection of Beaufort and Walcott Streets, in the heart of Mount Lawley.
PROFILED BY DE GROOTS MEDIAThe ever-evolving Beaufort Street in Mount Lawley is home to many stylish bars, restaurants and cafes but despite all these enticing venues, this iconic strip always seemed to be missing something. It wasn’t until the recent opening of Grill’d that I realised what that missing link was – a gourmet burger bar. Hailing from interstate stardom, Grill’d brings freshly prepared gourmet burgers to the masses. After craving burgers on a daily basis and being unsuccessful in his search to satisfy this yearning, Grill’d founder Simon Crowe opened his own healthy burger joint. Using only the finest ingredients and boasting super low-fat patties packed with flavour, Grill’d burgers are an unbelievably healthy answer to a modern day craving.
The first Grill’d instalment to the WA dining scene is a funky little number located in a primo spot on Beaufort Street. It is here you will find a menu boasting 18 meal-sized burgers comprising one hundred per cent beef, chicken breast, lamb or vegan-suitable veggie patties – the choice is yours. Once you’ve decided on your core ingredient, it’s time to pick a burger. Easier said than done! Gourmands will adore the wide range on offer, especially with fillings like brie cheese and cranberry sauce, coriander and satay sauce and grilled field mushroom with roasted peppers, just to name a few. The “Caesar’s palace” chicken burger is not unlike the famous salad with crispy trim bacon, free-range egg, shaved parmesan, baby cos and Caesar dressing. There’s also a delicious Moroccan lamb burger with roasted peppers, tzatziki, salad and relish. Or, if you like keeping things straightforward, there’s the “simply Grill’d” burger that’s just as good as the rest of them. Whatever you choose at Grill’d, you can be assured of enjoying one of the healthiest burgers in town without the guilt that usually follows!
