Housed in a converted newspaper building, the iconic Phoenix Brewery is situated in the heart Ballarat’s historic arts precinct. With an air of style and elegance about it, in part due to it’s European influenced décor, Phoenix serves up tapas to share as well as larger bistro classics. Enjoy the extensive international wine list, and of course, plenty of beers on tap.

The restaurant offers 2 courses and 3 course menus for $69 and $88 rspevtively. (2012 price-subject to change).

The Phoenix never ceases to amaze us. We have dined there every few months and have been lucky enough to experience each menu change. The chef Travis Ray is brilliant at what he does and has done an incredible job transforming Phoenix into a fine dining restaurant and a must visit if in Ballarat. The staff are friendly, warm and helpful and the wine list simply spectacular. We have dined many times, at different times (mid week, a busy Saturday night) and have enjoyed both the busy and quiet ambience. Having been awarded the Peoples Choice for 2011 at the Golden Plate Awards it is clear to see why this restaurant doesn't disappoint. Congratulations Travis and the team at Phoenix, you deserve all good things that come to you now and in the future. We will be back! review 15/02/2012
