Set in a stunning mansion of the late 1800s, which is now protected by the National Trust, The Willows perfectly caters for the bustling, corporate boulevard on which it is located. The glass-enclosed, outdoor function area is surrounded by lush flora that nicely separates diners from the busy St Kilda Road business district, and provides a surprisingly quiet and peaceful retreat away from the hustle. Over the past years The Willows has successfully wooed white collars looking to impress potential clients and partners, and the centre now caters for dozens of business luncheons and after-hours events, as well as over 160 weddings each year. The versatile function area offers both formal dining and casual cocktail party atmospheres, and if weather permits, outdoor seating is available. Refreshingly, The Willows is not afraid of a few extra staff members, which means service is swift and thorough. Guests and hosts can also relax knowing functions are in the capable and very charming hands of operations manager Randy Jackson.
Head chef Jason Robinson’s well-balanced menu has a modern Australian influence and is flexible enough to cater for special food requirements. Prices are very reasonable with mains starting at $29 and lunch specials of two or three courses offering great value.
