Waterfront Southbank

If you ever considered having dinner at the Waterfront restaurant in Southbank – DON’T! Had dinner there last night and it was the worst experience I ever had in a restaurant in Australia. Waited 15 minutes just to get a waiter to take our order despite the fact that the restaurant was only half-full and there was no shortage of staff. When the waiter took our food order, he refused to take our drink orders as well saying he will come back later for that. I insisted and reluctantly he took our drink orders. The waiter behaved like he was doing us a favour. For drinks, I asked for 1 Bottle of wine… about 10 min later I received 1 Glass of wine. Imagine sharing 1 glass in between 3 people. The food was poorly cooked and didn't justify the hefty price tag. The horror night continued and eventually I asked for the manager, who didn't give a crap about it and was even arguing we were wrong. I wish I checked the reviews before going there. 25/01/2012
