LOCATIONA few minutes drive from Black Rock. Turn to the water at 250 Beach Road. Located next door to the yacht club.
DETAILSThis relaxed restaurant balances simplicity and charm with cool composure, using its beautiful landscape to maximum effect. Wander in via the beachfront into the famed kiosk for some tasty fish and chips, or ascend the side staircase and you’ll find the handsome dining room with its rough-hewn floor boards, and wooden tables. Floor to ceiling windows overlook the rolling sea, velvet skies beyond the horizon, and strewn shipwrecks that speckle the ocean floor.
FOOD & BEVERAGEThe Cerberus Beach House food philosophy is all about using the land in a sustainable manner, with fresh, locally-sourced produce, and following the rhythm of the seasons. The open fronted restaurant serves a melange of seafood dishes as well as healthy classics throughout the day, staring with full-flavoured breakfasts of sautéed mushrooms with marinated feta and pesto on thick toast or hot-on-eggs choices from Benedict to Florentine and omelettes. For lunch and dinner opt for small plates of polenta crusted calamari with lemon dressed mizuna and harissa aioli or pan seared scallops with sautéed spinach, crispy serrano ham and saffron aioli. Large plates are equally tantalizing with the likes of crispy skin barramundi on a warm salad of jerusalem artichokes and baby vegetables with a caper and dill salsa or a risotto of garlic prawns and scallops with garden peas and a lemon herb mascarpone. There is also a refined wine and cocktail list with changing weekly boutique wine specials.
FUNCTIONSThe Beach House is perfect for a wide range of events, including private parties, boutique weddings, birthdays, and social functions. The venue can accommodate up to 50 seated guests for formal sit down dinners or buffet banquet-style soirées, and up to 95 guests for cocktail-style functions. There are select function menus available, but they can also be tailored to suit specific requirements.
