Santiago brings a touch of Spain to Melbourne. This ambient little tapas bar hums from the packed crowd sharing some of Melbourne's best Spanish cuisine over a glass of wine. The regularly changing menu features both modern and traditional tapas dishes that will keep you coming back for more. The cuisine of Head Chef Cesar Abel Riascos Astorquiza is regarded by many as being amongst the best Spanish in town and is an absolute taste sensation.

Located in bayside Middle Park, Santiago has been uniquely fitted out by 6 Degrees Architecture in a heritage listed Victorian.

DETAILS
Drop in for a quick bite to eat, a glass of wine, cup of coffee, or get into the mood and stay all night grazing.

Paella is slow cooked in the traditional way every Wednesday and Saturday nights only. Bookings are recommended as Paella nights are a regularly attended event and tables are hotly contested. Only the finest seafood, Bomba rice and Spanish spices go into Santiago's Paella to make it second to none.

I have been here a couple of times, but the last time I was really impressed by the new menu, the tapas are just amazing, all the new tapas are well presented, and you can really see that the chef had bee working a lot with every detail. The selection of wines is really good, but they don't have all of them available all the time. The sangria is easy to drink. Definitely we'll be back. Now one of my favorites venues to dine with friends. review 07/12/2011
