DETAILSThe architecturally designed restaurant boasts a number of dining precincts, which can be used as private function spaces. The restaurant area is perfect for intimate and group dining experiences as well as pre-theatre dining. The private function areas are ideal for small and large corporate functions and weddings with a stylish warm interior and private bar. The Orchid Rooms are divided into upper and lower, seating up to 150 and 80 people respectively around a Feng Shui pond in the ultimate serene setting. The entire space is swathed in unique lighting fixtures from hanging long cylindrical lamp shades to upside down lily-like globes. Oriental wooden décor and furnishings add finesse, complimented by bright contemporary artworks that adorn the walls.
FOOD & BEVERAGERed Spice Road is a unique South East Asian-style dining experience in the heart of Melbourne. Shared dishes grace the menu punctuated with serious Asian spices for intimate bursts of flavour. Led by acclaimed chef John McLeay, the menu emphasises freshness, presentation and flavour.
FUNCTIONSThe private area is divided in two sections. The Orchid Room has two separate areas, which include the Lower Orchid and Upper Orchid. The Lower Orchid has a private bar and stand-up capacity for 100 people. The Upper Orchid has a sit down capacity for 150 people and can hold 200 for cocktails. The entire Orchid room can also be hired to accommodate 300 standing guests. The Lily room offers three different sit-down options – Lily 1 and Lily 2, which hold 12 guests each, or a third room can be made (Lily 3) by joining Lily 1 and Lily 2 to make a large private area that can fit 30 people. The semi-private mezzanine area seats 60 on 10 round marble tables. Alternatively the venue can be hired exclusively for up to 160 seated guests and 240 standing.
