Anyone still waiting for a booking at the ever-popular MoVida now has another option – the third jewel in the MoVida crown is the more casual MoVida Aqui. With a large, spacious restaurant devoted to cantina, Aqui makes the most of its location. Brightly decorated with Spanish advertising posters and sun yellow Moritz beer awnings and walls, Aqui makes a perfect lunch or dinner option. The indoor bar offers an optimum view of the huge open kitchen

The menu is varied with several tapas options as well as larger raciones, rice dishes and offerings from the grill. Raciones might include Andalucian braised rabbit leg in sweet and sour sauce with almonds and raisins or prawns cooked in terracotta with garlic and Basque apple cider. Rice dishes always include paella with the option of “grande” for two to four people or “muy grande” for up to six people. Alternatively try something delicious straight from the charcoal grill such as quail with house-made morcilla and chickpeas or Wagyu short rib with young garlic. Wash it all down with a Moritz beer or some summery sangria; a steal at only $4, it is sunshine in a glass and the perfect complement to dinner.
