When you gaze around Mon Ami it's easy to see where the inspiration for this charmingly tiny restaurant comes from. With European style stamped all over it, the entire approach to food and service at Mon Ami is heavily influenced by the artistic flair of co-owners John Langevad and Ulla Hiltula. Their striking photographic work has pride of place on the walls within while a shady outdoor dining area beckons on warmer evenings. Blending all the class and intimacy of formal dining with the casual warmth you expect from your local, Mon Ami is an attractive space to enjoy a quiet meal or a bottle of wine.

The food has a French focus with a distinct Scandinavian twist that aims at delivering simple and classic flavours. Especially popular are their array of duck dishes such as the grilled breast with a chestnut and parsley puree on braised witlof. Another standout is the double-cooked duck breast with a piquant citrus sauce served on a crusty herb crouton. If you'd prefer to give the duck as miss, try the grilled nut and spice encrusted salmon resting on a seafood sauce, served with a side of steamed chats drizzled with herb butter.
