This Toorak treasure throws in a little bit of magic and merriness, and has an international menu that will have you mmm-ing all the way home. The salads are the highlight coming into summer featuring the fresh five spice calamari with mizuna leaves, pickled ginger and carrot drizzled in sweet soy and coriander dressing; or the traditional yet elegant Israeli salad with diced spring vegetables, tuna, cottage cheese and a balsamic glaze being the deserved crowd favourite. If you’re after one of M’s manly mains then try the char-grilled rib-eye or the M Burger with the lot for a memorable feed. A collection of Mediterranean pastas and shared plates, and a bargain BYO corkage charge make it an ideal meeting place for a quick lunch or an after work drink and graze.

Located opposite Toorak Village and the Trak Centre, Manhattan Restaurant - previously M Bar - sets its scene downstairs with modest yet stylish European décor and big, wonderful mirrors, while the upstairs function space is versatile and elegant, catering for cocktail parties of up to 90 people or sit-down dinners for 50.
