One of the more recent additions to the Docklands precinct, Man Mo is a fusion of culinary delights that include Chinese, Indonesian and Malay cuisines. Man Mo takes its name from a temple in Hong Kong which pays homage to two of China’s most worshipped gods, one of whom is regarded as the deity of moneymaking enterprises –something this eatery is guaranteed to be thanks to its tempting fare and prime waterfront location.

Start with an appetiser of char siew (Cantonese barbecue roast pork) or Malaysian-style curry puffs. Follow with a soup such as seafood and bean curd chowder. For main choose from the easy to follow selections arranged by food type such as the poultry options including crispy skin chicken with spicy plum sauce. From the red meat selection sample the Mongolian lamb fillet served on a sizzling plate. Seafood options include a sea perch fillet in tempura batter with sweet and sour sauce. Noodles are a favourite here, in particular the shredded duckling fillets with fried egg noodles. Alternatively, choose from the chef’s choice selections. Dessert options include a pan-fried Chinese pancake with red bean paste filling served with ice-cream. The extensive Australian-friendly wine list varies in price with several by the glass.
