Owner and Chef Dario Montemaggiore came to Australia around 3 years ago and having worked in Melbourne during this time, he realised that Melbourne needed a restaurant that served "true" Italian food. Teaming up with his Head Chef Domenico Martines, these two talents bring over 10 years worth of experience to L'Angolo Italiano.

Before coming to Australia, Dario owned his own restaurant in Sicily and brings his experiences from various European cities including Paris and Venice.

L'Angolo has brought back homemade pasta made fresh on premises, which has been popular with cliental. Whilst homemade pasta is the passion, L'Angolo is becoming popular for woodfired pizza including the infamous Bellavista Pizza. This type of pizza has been popular in Dario and Domenico's hometown of Palermo for years and has proven to be a hit since opening the restaurant.
