JJ's Bar and Grill features a sumptuous art deco bar and lounge alongside an elegant dining room. With live entertainment Thursday to Saturday nights, this Southbank restaurant is a popular haunt for international and local celebrities.

JJ's prides itself on its art deco surroundings, which incorporates a swanky bar space with chandelier features, strategically placed white linen-clad tables, a grand piano and waiters in tip-top suited attire. During Spring Carnival JJ’s is the only place to be seen after a day at the track, as the glamorous Champagne bar is filled with the excitement of Melbourne’s racing crowd.

FOOD & BEVERAGE
The talented chefs have created a menu reminiscent of the world’s best Grill rooms, featuring steaks such as Black Angus Sirloin or the famous Wagyu Sirloin. JJ’s is also renowned for its supper menu, available in the bar until late.

My family dined there on a Saturday night for my daughters birthday. Crown restaurants offer a free glass of sparkling(Chandon)and a birthday cake free. JJ'S is mainly a grill featuring steaks and a few standard option main courses for those not into steaks. Food was very good especially the entree tasting platters. However the service was amateur for a place charging top $ for food and even more for wine. We were poured wine without the opportunity to taste, Pinot glass was topped up with shiraz. We also had to ask for water and wine to be topped up. Front of house would be a real dissapointment for the chefs I am sure. Wine prices were high with a $20 Spanish red for $85. Nice room but Rockpool beats it hands down and the wine list is better and better value. Crown do not seem to be able to fix the service issues with the restaurants they control. review 05/02/2012
