Profiled by de GrootsOpen since December 2005, the James Squire Brewhouse and Restaurant is based on its sister venue in Sydney's King Street Wharf. Offering the largest bar and restaurant facility in the Docklands precinct, James Squire Brewhouse has a variety of dining and drinking options to suit any want or need. Choose to sit upstairs or down, both with floor to ceiling glass windows taking full advantage of the breathtaking waterfront views, or outdoors where you can experience true Australian alfresco dining. The uncomplicated menu comprising an eclectic mix of bar food, contemporary Australian cuisine and some traditional favourites is complimented by freshly brewed James Squire beer.
Start with an entree of a half or dozen oysters served natural, Kilpatrick or Mornay (a mixed platter is available if you can't decide) or start with the chilli squid tossed in a spicy seasoning and shallow fried with lime dressing. For mains try the full rack of pork ribs with smoky BBQ sauce and steak fries, or lemon peppered kangaroo fillet served on a bed of seared mustard mash with red wine jus. Finish with the Squire lemon tart served with raspberry coulis, or the chocolate porter cake with cream and fresh strawberries. Kids are also catered for, their meals served free if accompanied by a parent enjoying a main and James Squire beer.
