With a philosophy that Asian food should constantly evolve and adapt, the team at Chillipadi has successfully created a comfortable contemporary eatery that caters for almost every taste and budget. Dishes are influenced by tastes from India, the South East and Japan to name but a few. The set lunch menu of one course (such as beef rending rice) and a glass of wine falls under $16.00 and makes an excellent option for first-time diners (not to mention great value). The evenings are all about family dining with share plates the go, but rest assured an a la carte menu is still available and tempts with starters such as tempura prawns with nashi pear slaw, and mains like the Thai tasting dish.
Chillipadi has a large collection of boutique and super premium wines to enjoy with your meal, or to take home with you (there’s even an online bottle shop in the works). If you enjoy your meal stop by the larder display counter on your way out and pick up a ready-to-eat Chillipadi soup, stock or sauce, complete with step-by-step cooking instructions so you can recreate your dining experience at home. And, for a change of scenery, be sure to check out the newly-opened Chillipadi at Waterfront City, Harbour Town Shopping Centre, Docklands.
