PROFILED BY DE GROOTS MEDIABrux Bar and Restaurant is a smooth hideaway for city-goers that backs up its scrumptious, award-winning micro-brewed beers with an impressive European menu. Roasted tomato and rocket risotto with basil pesto and goat’s cheese, and the seared swordfish with nicoise salad are only two of the standout mains, while bar regulars can enjoy a special grazing menu that boasts quality antipasto produce and a delicious selection of dips. A range of Australian and imported beers, and a handy wine list complete the offerings. Mains at Brux start at $17.50 while the bar menu begins at $6.50.
The 150-year-old Brux space is beautifully maintained and provides a stylish and elegant atmosphere for work drinks, lunch or dinner. You can even send in an Express Order form in the morning and grab your ready-made lunch on the go. The downstairs bar and restaurant has simple European furnishings while the upstairs Metz room sports swank oak panels and a stunning cathedral ceiling. The Metz room is Brux’s function area, catering for cocktail parties of up to 150 people but also suitable for smaller, sit-down dinner parties.
