The building features original bluestone walls, from the earlier woolshed days, deep colours, comfy chairs and a warm familiar ambience.With a well designed floor plan that recognises that the needs of diners and drinkers are vastly different, Bluestone features two main areas: the upstairs dining room and the stylish, downstairs lounge bar.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Bluestone's renowned executive Chef Rob Harryman leads the dynamic team, presenting a Modern Australian menu, with both European and contemporary dishes, in stylish and private surrounds.
The Dining Room
The upstairs dining area truly is divine with an opulent, yet warm and inviting ambience. Featuring bare stone walls, upholstery of dark, rich crimson, gilt framed mirrors and gloriously well spaced tables draped with crisp, quality linen. The setting is the perfect backdrop for the food, which reflects the upmarket, modern and stylish ambience. The restaurant also boast a private dining area suitable for up to 22 guests on one grand table.
BAR
For a pre dinner drink or night cap, head downstairs to the chic bar. With soft lighting, Chesterfield chairs, banquettes and ottomans, this bar provides luxurious lounging and a more cafe-style menu featuring gourmet woodfired pizzas, plus a full a la carte menu..
Bluestone Bar is open from 12pm and stays open until late Monday to Fridays. In the evenings the bar also offers a lounge environment and the additional blackboard menu of a la carte dishes is also available, complement ing our numerous wines by the glass or perhaps a cocktail. Bluestone Bar has become renowned as one of Melbourne's hot spots for after work drinks Monday to Friday. Thursday nights host Bluestone’s Underground Jazz sessions, where you can book a table for dinner and enjoy the smooth sound of live old school jazz (for free!).
The Bluestone Pizza Challenge
We challenge you to find better woodfired pizzas in Melbourne. Bluestone was a Victorian finalist for the best pizza restaurant in the Restaurant and Catering Australia Awards 2006, 2007, 2008.

Having set up and managed numerous exclusive Melbourne venues, the owners of Bluestone Restaurant and Bar are well rehearsed in their knowledge of what is required when planning the entire reception for your special day. At Bluestone they understand how unique every wedding should be. Whilst able to guide you in every aspect of the day, they prefer to work with you to create the balances in cuisine, decorations and formalities to ensure that your day is exactly how you envisage it. After all, the day is all about you. Food is second to none, Executive Chef Martin Walker is one of Melbourne's best and your guests will receive "restaurant food and restaurant service" for your special day. Each function menu includes a personalised menu, our chef's selection of canapes on arrival, a three course meal, house baked bread, side salads with main course and tea or espresso coffee. Bluestone is a stunning venue in which to entertain and "drips with unassuming style." Huge guilt mirrors sweeping down one wall, luscious fabrics, rich colourings and expansive ceilings, the main dining room creates an instant feeling of grandeur. Afterwards guests can continue on downstairs in our bar area: boasting leather Chesterfields, wing back chairs and a dance floor to keep the party going until late.
Lunch/Dinner Functions
Bluestone specialise in catering to large groups in the restaurant. Your function menu is designed from our a la carte menu, featuring 3 items per course and each menu includes a personalised menu, a three course meal, house baked bread, side salads and side greens with main course and tea or espresso coffee.
Cocktail Parties
Private cocktail parties are available seven
days per week.For exclusive use of our bar on a Saturday or Sunday all we require is a minimum spend of $4000*(inclusive of food and beverage).* Special Conditions apply over the Xmas season i.e. Nov and Dec.
