With polished wooden floorboards and black lacquered trimmings, Albert Street Food and Wine fits in perfectly with the Brunswick hospitality scene. Functioning as a dining room, food store and cafe, owners Stuart Brookshaw and partner Ruth Giffney, Albert Street offers a Mediterranean menu which focuses on slow-food. Under the reigns of executive Chef, Philippa Sibley, who is best known as a desserts specialist (the subject of her book, PS Desserts), the food is set to impress the highly-critical Melbourne foodie crowd.
