A La Bouffe Bistro & Bar

Wonder where the local French go for a taste of home? Wonder no more: p the moment we walked in the door, my wife remarked that this looked very similar to the bistro that we visited in Paris during our honeymoon, cliché I know, but its true! The friendly French speaking waiters adds that extra authenticity; with a good selection of French wine and champagne we soon found ourselves reminiscing about the time we spent in Paris. We did some research and yes, the lobster ravioli and the snail was indeed very tasty, eye fillet is good too. This is the perfect location for a romantic dinner or a family occasion, indeed we saw many regulars that night. Booking is a must given the popularity and it’s easy to understand why, we would be going back there the next time we’re in the neighbourhood. Excellent food, excellent service, and the atmosphere and decor are just perfect! ** take your time to enjoy the atmosphere, don't worry about the waiter, they haven't forgotten about you. Been to A La Bouffe for dinner Friday night and we had a great experience – both the food and service. The snails in garlic fennel butter were just delicious. The special eye fillet wrapped in prosciutto was one of the best steaks I have ever had and the special rib eye with blue cheese was just as good too. The sommelier was great to recommend an excellent wine that matched the steaks. The vacherin glace and the A La Bouffe millefeuille were amazing. A great night, we will be back soon.
