There’s something alluring about revolving restaurants. Perched atop the Atlantic Tower, 12 stories up from the Anzac Highway in Glenelg, Top of the World Revolving Restaurant is no exception. Just off the main strip of Jetty Road and down the street from Holdfast Pier, the restaurant comes alive as the sun begins to drop low in the sky. Patrons are treated to a spectacular light show as the colours turn from yellow, to pink, to deep, deep red, and when the sun goes down, the lights of the city come out.

It’s hard to compete with views like these, but the menu, heavily laden with seafood delights, just might steal your attention away. Not overly adventurous, the dishes let the natural flavours of the food speak for themselves with mouth-watering options including lobster, oysters, scallops, prawns, calamari, Moreton bay bugs, whiting and snapper. Non-seafood lovers are also well catered for with selections of chicken, duck, lamb, pork and beef. Try the pan-cooked King Island beef fillet served with potato slices, field mushrooms, onion jam and a rich shiraz jus. Finish with a sweet dessert or one of the liqueur coffees.

Situated on the twelfth floor of the Atlantic Tower, in Glenelg, 20 minutes from ADelaide CBD.

FOOD & BEVERAGE
Top of the World Revolving Restaurant secialises in premium quality seafood, for example Lobster, Moreton Bay Bugs, Prawns, Oysters, Scallops, Calamari, and Fresh Catch of the Day Fillets of Fish such as Atlantic Salmon, Snapper, S.A. King George Whiting, Garfish. The total indulgence is to order the seafood platter for two offers a vast array of exotic seafood, (like having an entree and main course together) or famous Treasure Chest (a combination of fresh seafood, for example Prawns, Mussels, Bugs and Calamari in a brandy flambè, poached in fragrant fish stock with white wine cream and garlic sauce served with salad.)For those who are not seafood lovers there is an extensive selection of premium meats and chicken dishes to tantalise the taste buds!

This place has one of the best views I have experienced in a restaurant and has the food to match, personally I ordered the "Out of the Blue" which was beautifully cooked. The service was fantastic, neither rushed or too pushy (although I must admit there were not many people there when I was there due to late time and day of week.) The chocolate fondue was really nice although you might expect more fruit for the price after the amount of food you get for your main course.
Generally well presented place to eat with stunning views and great food, would be a good place for a function or something similar.
