We dined at the The Press Food & Wine last week and enjoyed the experience immensely. The meal was excellent - the steak was tender and cooked just how it was requested. The service was excellent and we will return to enjoy it all again as well as recommend it to friends. 28/11/2011

We dined at Press to celebrate our friend's wedding anniversary. Our waitress was very friendly and we were made to feel welcome. We asked her to recommend some starters for our table of four. We enjoyed the salmon gravlax dish however we were less than overwhelmed with the zucchini and feta and even less impressed by a choice of salad with pancetta. We had hoped they would 'wow' us with their choice of interesting starters. We then moved to the main course which was adequate but again not overwhelming. Considering my husband's steak was $38 it should have been cooked to his request - it wasn't. Our waitress also forgot to remind us that sides such as potatoes should be ordered but she didn't so he was left feeling somewhat short-changed. It was a good restaurant, but for the money we spent ($180 per couple), completely underwhelming. It is new so perhaps it was teething problems, but I can't feel that once the hype has died down and they are relying on 'local' business that there won't be much unless they lift their standards to match their prices. 14/11/2011

All I ordered was a roast pork bun. It came out so impressively with a superb colour on the bun. Surprisingly tasty with the pork cooked to perfection with rocket and mayonnaise. I felt so welcomed and comfortable dining here. I love the coffee. I will definitely recommend this place. 04/10/2011
