DETAILS1877 Restaurant takes its name from the year of construction of this gorgeous brick and timber edifice. The heritage-listed building has been transformed into a warm yet sophisticated space whilst retaining its Victorian charm, featuring an original fireplace and outdoor terrace. The restaurant has been decorated with a contemporary edge, comprising chic black leather dining chairs and crisp white tablecloths.
FOOD & BEVERAGEAuthentic Italian recipes are the specialty at 1877 Restaurant, courtesy of its owners the Sfera family who are originally from Campania. Guests can expect to dine on first course dishes such as lightly battered zucchini flowers filled with fresh ricotta, roast pumpkin and cracked pepper and main course meals like rosemary pork rib eye char grilled and served with a fennel and orange salad alongside crisp potato wedges. There’s also a substantial selection of pasta dishes such as homemade spinach and ricotta rotolino served on a basil tomato sauce. Sweet tooths will revel in the dessert tasting plate, including a mini crème brulee, chocolate and fig pudding, macadamia profiterole and mini white mousse cup, while wine connoisseurs can peruse the extensive list featuring domestic and international drops.
