Since 1979, iconic Italian restaurant Rigoni’s has fed Adelaide’s corporates, pollies, foodies, tourists, and famous with style. Smart service in chic bistro surrounds spills out on to boutique Leigh Street with its pavers, street lamps and European feel. Rigoni’s professional air and respected menu see its clientele bring colleagues to impress, then return for fun with friends and family.

Lemon and strawberry hotcakes baked daily, toasted gingerbread with blood orange marmalade, or strawberry, dark chocolate and mint pancakes with chocolate vincotto and double cream, may be why Rigoni’s breakfasts are award winning. Or perhaps those who partake in the smoked cod with sott’olio cherry tomato, asparagus and soft poached egg, with a Bellini of prosecco and peach nectar vote them so.
Many a business shirt has been baptised with pasta sauce at Rigoni’s. Splatters of spag bol with veal, pork, chicken, fresh basil and tomato ragu, and plops of penne with mussels, mushrooms, white wine and cream, serve as fond memories. Less hazardous dishes are recommended for power dining, so go for the grilled veal medallions with silver beet, prosciutto and ravioli of potato, pancetta and provolone, to retain a dignified presence.
