Walking around the busy streets of Bangkok you’ll find restaurants painted in the traditional red on nearly every street. Take a walk down The Parade, the smart and trendy strip in Norwood, and you will discover a little piece of Thailand right here in Adelaide. Nestled within an old character stone building is the cosy Parade Thai, an authentic family-run restaurant that the locals have been enjoying for the past 14 years.

Upon entering you’ll be greeted by friendly staff and the tantalising aromas drifting from the kitchen. The restaurant has seating inside and out, with the back area perfect for groups. The menu leans heavily towards seafood with the classic satays and Thai curries all featuring. For the adventurous it is well worth trying the chef’s special hot plate beef (stir-fried, marinated beef in red wine with snow pea, carrot and Thai herbs); a dish of seafood with lemongrass (stir-fried king prawn, squid and mussel with tom yum paste and lemongrass); or the delicious gaeng musssamun lamb (slow-cooked lamb curry with potato, peanuts and minced Thai herbs). The chefs are happy to cater for gluten-free requests and bookings on weekends are definitely recommended.
