This restaurant is an old favourite in Adelaide, serving up reliably good Chinese food. Housed in an early Australian bungalow, it has won many awards for the Best Chinese Restaurant in South Australia.

DETAILS
House of Chow was originally situated in a two-storey bluestone building relocated across the road to a bungalow-style home in 1991. Since first opening in 1983, House of Chow has become an icon of Adelaide dining establishments. The glassed atrium is perfect for groups of up to 20 people with a private function room for up to 60 people. The adjoining courtyard is suitable for smokers. Its reputation has been built on quality and service.

FOOD & BEVERAGE
David and Roz Chow have gone to great lengths to create not only an aesthetically pleasing ambience but also the best in Asian gourmet. "The menu is aimed at being customer friendly for those who wish to choose their own dishes or are welcome to leave it to us to select a menu that is delectable and tantalising. We are also attuned to today's problems of food allergies. Just mention the problem and we will do our utmost to fix it!"
House of Chow has a comprehensive wine list with at range of 50 white wines and 50 red wines plus champagnes and a separated cocktail bar with everything from go to woe. Specialising in innovative Asian cooking, House of Chow also caters for non-Asian food as well as a large vegetarian menu. Our dessert list is very non-Asian with a choice of over 12 delicious desserts with a full range of muscats, ports and liqueurs to compliment these mouth watering delights and a cappuccino to complete the scenario.

Peking Duck Renowned Northern Chinese Emperor`s delight. The finest, carefully bred ducks are roasted to create a tender, crispy layer of skin, served with shallot, cucumber and Hoi Sin Sauce and wrapped in a delicate Peking style pancake. Served in two courses. | $52.00

We have dined there for 9 years and always order the same things because it is consistently satisfying. Salt and pepper prawns are my favourite and I crave the vegetarian spring rolls and 'clean' tasting fried rice at 10ish PM as a takeaway for a pregnat craving! Ros is a great PR woman and a lovely person in general, which adds to the welcoming environment. Michael and Renee Giamos. review 30/11/2008
