LOCATIONLocated on the corner of East and North Terrace in the beautiful Botanic Hotel.
DETAILSLocated on one of Adelaide’s prettiest streets, in the East End area, this funky, up-beat restaurant is camouflaged on the outside by an historic early 1900's building. Once inside, everything screams modernity- from the super swish menus to the laid back tunes. Botanic Ristorante is the definitive example of Adelaide's culinary coming of age. The well thought out interior design features banquettes and a long marble table that are instrumental in creating a sense of casual cosmopolitan chic.
PROFILED BE DE GROOTS MEDIASkirting the edge of East Terrace, Botanic Ristorante’s face is as pretty as its personality. The generous street frontage is an extension of the dining room, where pavement tables are screened from the sun by energetic greenery and wide calico umbrellas. Even better news, the kind staff won’t forget you if you choose to dine outside.
True to owner Cono Gorgone's own Sicilian heritage, the cuisine favours Italian with a dash of Mediterranean. Seafood features strongly on the menu with a range of fish and shellfish dishes year round.
Inside, the large room is divided by screens, gauze curtains, columns and a slab of marble serving as a high table. Stunning artworks of pinks and violets flush each opposite wall and discerning diners sip espresso and talk business. The regulars know Botanic’s style of fine food down to the type of pasta used, and can eat the aromatic risotto marinara, without a splash of sauce going astray. As you’d hope, the drinks list has some great wines by the glass and the staff love to recommend wine and food matches.
FUNCTIONSThe Botanic Ristorante is the perfect venue for a function. They can accommodate 160 standing and 130 seated guests in the restaurant and alfresco area.
