With a wine list spanning 24 pages long, the single paged menu of nibblies and a few substantial plates seems humble in comparison. But it achieves what it sets out to do – allow the wine to take centrestage. And what each drop here can definitely hold its own. Entering the quaint and quirky Adelaide restaurant is like going back in time - the room is marked with cabinets filled with old medicines and long antique lounges to recline on and solve the world’s ills. The Apothecary 1878 is a brilliant restaurant with a lot of personality and even more wine.
