DETAILSThe heritage property, surrounded by lush greenery features an exterior of white panelled walls, with green trimmings along the stair-case banisters and entrance awnings. The humble interior, with its pale yellow pin-stripped parapets and wooden skirtings is a welcoming environment in which to potter over an expertly-well made coffee or a glass of wine. The patio is particularly lovely with its bent wood chairs, large wooden tables and hanging potted plants. When the sun is shining, natural light dapples in through the impressive glass windows, filling the room with a warm glow.
FOOD & BEVERAGEThe international cuisine has a strong Italian accent, and follows the rhythm of the seasons. It is locally sourced, fresh and honest, with Angelo even making his own pasta inside the busy kitchen. Start with an entrée of Camembert Francesca – golden crumbed Queensland camembert ribboned with cranberry and orange glaze or an oven-hot bruschetta pomadori. Follow with a rich pasta dish of brandy flamed prawns, tossed with traditional Italian garlic, onion cream sauce and accompanied by a crispy risotto cake or a decedent shiraz flavoured lamb, rosemary and vegetable pie, with its crispy golden pastry and potted jus. A number of succulent meat meals grace the menu such as the veal piccata - tender medallions doused in a lemon, white wine, caper and parsley sauce, and garnished with pretty flowers and herbs sourced from Angelos very own garden. The refined wine-list is predominately Australian and bottles are very well priced.
FUNCTIONS Angelo’s House is well suited for private celebrations and weddings with in the restaurant or the private function room. It offers hosts the choice of extensive food and beverage packages; from sumptuous set menus, delicious buffets, finger food, and breakfasts catering for all budgets and tastes.
