Terraces at Sheraton Mirage

We dined here last night 1 had the buffet and 1 had a-la-carte. While there looked to be a lot on the buffet - it's main attraction was prawns and oysters. Crab was rubbish with only the worst parts that don't have much meat. Scallops were deep fried commercially prepared with only a tiny piece of meat inside. A-la-carte; took them a while to work out they needed to take an order. Had eye-fillet which was ordinary and at $43 was priced at an extra-ordinary price. Vegetables were cold. Dining at 8.15pm on a Saturday night you're stuck having to eat or face no dinner at all. Staff asked how was our meal (as they do) and when we said it was disappointing they said oh sorry, here's the bill! Bottom line: very disappointing, below average and over-priced (buffet was $79pp). Total bill; we were ripped off to the tune of $181. My advice: don't bother. 29/01/2012

I walked into Terraces Restuarant and at the mere sight of the buffet, my mouth was watering. The selection of food was enough to satisfy even the fussiest eater. Delectable food, TOP service, beautiful presentation. Seriously, a food experience, that my husband and I still talk about! We are coming back for a holiday soon, and going to the Sheraton for dinner is on the top of my list of things to do. 5* 05/01/2012

It is not inexpensive but it’s always satisfying. Wouldn't want to eat there too much though - as I would break my scales. Easily the best buffet in Australia and I've tried most. Possibly even the best in the world (at least the best I've experienced). Great seafood, great staff and great ambience. 25/09/2011

We were regular diners at this restaurant. Always booked for a specific table but then we experienced a rude maitre d' and we have never returned. A pity because the food was always excellent. 11/07/2011

The dreaded call came through at 5 pm, "Where to go for great food, excellent value, unbeatable ambience, top notch service, enough variety to appease not only the fussy eater but also offers enough selection for the low carb; no carb; gluten free; high protein; vegetarian; or God forbid -vegan. It 's a no brainer... Terraces Restaurant, Sheraton Mirage, Main beach. Easy to find: hard to beat. 05/07/2011
