LOCATIONBroadbeach on the Gold Coast.
DETAILSThe Sofitel Gold Coast has revealed the newest edge on the Gold Coast for chic and contemporary cocktails and dining opens, opening the doors to its innovative ‘Room81’.
The design-conscience hotel has managed to create a unique place to ‘be seen’ and feel the pulse of the sophisticated new Broadbeach precinct. Cosmopolitan polish meets divine style at this modern bar, come lounge, come kitchen concept.
Room 81 successfully mixes eclectic design and trends of interiors from Europe’s leading names with original video art, New York sourced ambience visuals, and a top-notch menu from new Executive Chef (the renowned David Fryer and new Chef De Cuisine Daniel Ridgeway) - a formidable combination. From sublime soft furnishings to glamorous glassware, the hotel is an advocate of the finer things in life. While the menu is not fussy, breakfast turns easily into lunch tastes and then into evening delights. This form of neo ‘smart dining’ which follows the latest trends seen in Melbourne and Europe, includes a sexy wine list and top shelf mixers. When it comes to the drinks list, cocktails take centre stage at this new bar.
An acoustic ambience artist (a superior style of DJ’ing) is a special feature of Room81 in the evenings, the music creating a mood and vibe rarely achieved at Hotel bars.
Room81 offers Parisian sidewalk style seating for 90 guests as well as lounge style booths and relaxation areas. Open in the morning for an a la carte breakfast or a coffee and croissant, the menu then changes to all day dining, with lunch and dinner menus offered, plus a tapas style lounge menu between 3.30 and 11pm.
Room81 is located on the Porte Cochere level, Sofitel Gold Coast, 81 Surf Paradise Broadbeach.
