Mario’s is positioned towards the beach end of The Oasis Shopping Centre, extending out to Broadbeach’s Mall. Diners can choose to be seated indoors or outdoors in the Mall. The restaurant seats 400, so it’s the perfect venue for large functions.

DETAILS
Established in 1989, Mario’s is renowned as a Gold Coast dining stronghold. Visitors can choose to be seated inside Mario’s intricately painted dining room, lined with floral ceiling detail and mountain vistas on the wall’s frescoes. Alternatively, outdoor dining is also available in the seating area that extends outward to Broadbeach Mall.

FOOD & BEVERAGE
Mario’s is well known for its authentic, hearty Italian cuisine, and offers a wide selection of classic and modern meals including seafood, steak, pasta, and pizza. Gourmet pizzas are ever-popular, such as the Gippslander with tender slices of lamb marinated with garlic and rosemary, sliced baked potato and cheese plus minted tomato salsa. Another signature dish is the Steak Mario, topped with a Moreton Bay bug, two king prawns and finished with the chef’s special sauce. There is also a takeaway menu, and the restaurant is fully licensed with a great selection of local and imported wines, plus bottled and tap beers.

Walking through the door the decor and ambience immediately put me in the mood; it was like being transported to Italy. The menu was extensive but we finally decided on splitting a four-cheese pizza for starters. For mains I ordered the Scaloppine Al Funghi and my husband had a marinara pasta. All the food was delicious and left us and our 3-year-old well feed. The place was bustling so I'd recommend booking to get a good table, and if your dining with kids go early.
