The team at Treehouse have put together a number of unique dining experiences including the option of a secluded candle-lit private dining tables on the river where the only sounds you’ll hear are the flow of the river, the sipping of cocktails and intimate conversation. Another choice is the more chilled out Kuburri room. This space is teeming with comfy lounge chairs, offering to the side the Jungle Perch a stunning octagonal dining venue perfect for couples and smaller gatherings with views over the Mossman River.

The menu at Treehouse centres on modern Australian fare and the lush, seasonal offerings of Silky Lodge’s position, while adding unique Mediterranean and Asian influences. Filled with light delicate creations, the starters and light meal section is a thoughtful collection of gourmet artisan products combined with fresh fruit, specialty cheeses, cured meats and seafood. The flavours of the watermelon, creamy fetta and basil salad with rocquette, prosciutto and fig vincotto are particularly pleasing to the palate. The mains are similarly exciting and the generous dessert menu features amended classics like tiramisu with Marsala crème anglaise.
