Zuri is all about getting dressed up and having a fantastic night unlike anything you’ve done before – by providing a Sophisticated food and beverage menu, patrons can enjoy rare luxuries which they can’t find elsewhere. Brisbane’s newest luxury venue Zuri has set a new standard when it comes to wining and dining, unveiling what is arguably the most sophisticated food and beverage menu in a lounge setting in Brisbane and possibly Australia.
Since its October opening, the multi-million dollar internationally-inspired venue has already seen the likes of Stevie Wonder, Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown and Ice Cube all experience the unique offerings at Zuri.
Under the expertise of venue manager Barry Galloway, Zuri has created an unparalleled list comprised of some of the world’s finest and rare blends of wines, champagnes and spirits, boutique beers and an extensive cocktail menu and paired it with contemporary Japanese cuisine. With over a decade spent at the forefront of the international bar scene, and having looked after the likes of the Rolling Stones and the British royal family, Barry is well accustomed to the rare luxuries often demanded in a prestigious bar setting.

Renowned executive chef Taichi Ito has created contemporary Japanese-inspired cuisine with a western twist which enhances the unique flavours of Zuri.“I have always been extremely passionate about what I do and I feel that the team at Zuri have matched that passion – together we have created something extraordinary,” Mr Ito said.Among Taichi’s favourites is the Kakuni - slowly simmered pork belly in a soy sauce broth finish with Truffle oil. Other highlights on the food menu include sashimi and sushi offerings (Chef’s selection of sashimi or nigiri, soft shell crab roll and dynamite rRoll), cold offerings (beef tatiki and Zuri summer rolls) and hot offerings (hotategai and wagyu steak with wafuu sauce), as well as desserts and after hours platters.
Notable mentions on the beverage list include Dom Perignon from 1988, Salon champagne from 1982, and 1966 Springbank and 40 year old Dalmore scotch. The extensive cocktail menu features variations under heading such as signature (Asian Bellini), vintage (Manhattan), obscure (Pegu Club Cocktail), radical (Smoky Bacon & Maple Syrup), nterpretations (Zuri Mule) and late night (the Last Call).In the future months, Zuri is set to push bar boundaries with forthcoming cocktail degustation nights, whisky and chocolate nights, food and wine pairing and much more.
