PROFILED BY DE GROOTS MEDIAA daily specials board and regular menu changes assure eating at this club never gets dull. Line dancing, live music and entertainment are given pride of place at the Wynnum Manly Leagues Club, regularly attracting sell-out crowds. The club has been in operation since 1976 and is home to the Wynnum Seagulls, a huge and popular state rugby league consisting of three teams. The Kougari Oval, situated alongside the club, is regularly sidelined by locals who come to watch the teams train for their big games.
The meal selection in the bistro guarantees something for every taste with great quality meals, a terrific atmosphere and a large selection of delicious wines. A daily roast special and buffet on Friday nights make it affordable for any budget. The coffee shop, which stays open after the bistro shuts in the evening, offers the perfect place to catch up for a latte and a freshly baked muffin or slice of cake from the display cabinet. The brand new TAB facilities in the sports lounge offer comfortable seating and two TAB terminals, with brand new plasma screens for all the races and sports. There are also race selectors, teletext betting terminal displays, two beer garden areas, and five courtesy buses offering door-to-door service to patrons living up to 12 kilometres away.
