Sitting atop Brisbane’s highest mount, The Summit Restaurant & Bar is a must-do for tourists and locals alike. Mount Coot-tha draws plenty of visitors each year and it is easy to see why. The spectacular views from the viewing platform afford breathtaking vistas of Brisbane city and surrounds, including the famed Moreton Bay and her beautiful islands and on a clear day it is possible to see all the way to the Glass House Mountains on the Sunshine Coast. At the same time, The Summit Restaurant provides a comfortable setting in which to enjoy a lunch, romantic dinner or host a special event.

The chef utilises quality Queensland produce from the local area and beyond to create an inventive menu that has something for everyone. Asian dishes feature prominently and European and Mediterranean influences abound. For starters try Moreton Bay bugs steamed and served chilled with an Asian salad, green papaya and a Thai dipping sauce. Mains feature a reasonably priced Wagyu rump steak served with sauteed potatoes, green peas, bacon with caramelised onion compote and a red wine reduction. There are plenty of delicious desserts to choose from and a solid cheese platter.
