LOCATIONFirmly on the eco-friendly mile in Latrobe Terrace Paddington.
PROFILED BY DE GROOTS MEDIASetting up home in a rustic little nook in the heart of Paddington, this busy cafe offers, and caters for, a different breed of bread, cafe and coffee lover. With a firm passion and focus on natural, organic and chemical-free foods, it presents a much sought-after alternative to the modern high processed and down right unhealthy sanga. With an all-day breakfast serving up goodies such as savoury, chocolate and almond croissants, Bircher muesli with toasted nuts and fresh fruit, chunky organic fruit toast with organic butter and scrumptious raspberry and banana muffins, there’s something new and fresh-baked daily for the stream of cheerful regulars.
One thing is for sure with this charming little cafe, it delivers its promise to dish up super tasty healthy creations using certified organic, wholefood ingredients such as the delectable vegan chocolate pumpkin cake with dairy-free ganache, organic Byron Bay tea served with local organic milk and, of course, the famous handcrafted, naturally fermented, organic sourdough. The bread that started it all is served up with all the yummy daily soups – look out for the dahl and spicy pumpkin alongside the fry-ups and mouth-watering daily gourmet sandwiches. Other treats to ponder over include the sweet honey nut slice, wholesome banana bread, orange and date damper and (quite possibly) Queensland’s most glorious carrot cake (it comes smothered in a fat layer of thick cream icing). With its impressively delicious and unique quality organic menu, Sol Breads Cafe is leading the way in a healthy alternative to delicious cafe fare.
