Slice, the newest addition to the restaurants and cafes lining West End’s Boundary Street, is a petite eatery featuring outdoor seating which spills onto the footpath, making you a part of the action of West End. Open from midday, it offers a range of traditional Italian pizzas and pastas at reasonable prices. The beauty of this eatery is that if you are after a substantial meal with fast service and quality food, you will find it here. And if you’re on the run and feel like a snack, you can buy the pizza by the slice – hence the name.

Slice offers calzones, traditional pizzas, gourmet pizzas, vegetarian pizzas (of which there are seven to choose from), pastas and salads. From the pasta selection the fettuccini florentina made with a creamy tomato base, wine, chicken, mushroom and onion is a tasty choice. The large range of pizzas includes classic favourites such as Hawiian, Supreme and Pepperoni, or different and delicious gourmet options. Try the Greco made with traditional Greek sausage, spinach, onion and haloumi cheese all drizzled with tzatziki. Large groups will relish the challenge of the original 36 slice pizza.
