Mondo Organics opened as a restaurant, caterer and cooking school in 2000, and there are no signs of slowing down as devoted fans continue to pass through Mondo’s welcoming doors. This West End establishment’s passion lies in delivering the best in educational and gastronomic experiences, sharing a love of “real food” and healthy alternative food choices with its clientele. The soothing yet sophisticated atmosphere of Mondo is aided by the gentle trickle of a water feature. Candle-lit tables are placed both in the air-conditioned comfort of Mondo’s interior, and also in the outdoor setting, where cushioned banquette seating and subtle architectural design effuses serene tranquillity.

With an awareness of healthy eating habits for a sustainable future, Mondo sources ingredients from the best organic growers and suppliers in Australia. A list of over 100 wines has been chosen via travel to various wine regions, and many are cellar door and Mondo exclusives. Organic and bio-dynamic drops sit beside hand-picked grapes and international big-time names. Mondo delivers a menu rich in colour and choice, complete with all the trimmings. Brunch is extremely popular; foodies spill out onto the pavement for their divinely crunchy muesli with rhubarb compote and yoghurt, and tea-smoked trout on sauteed green leaves served with lemon butter and spelt sourdough soldiers. Later on in the day, begin with squab ballontine boudin noir with wild rice, braised savoy cabbage and parsley puree. Follow with rabbit rotolo with lemon verbena, leek and preserved lemon, encrusted in pastry and accompanied by a fennel confit, or a sumptuous fillet of beef with colcannon, confit garlic, vine-ripened cherry tomatoes and tarragon jus. For a special occasion, the seven-course degustation menu has a tasty cross-section of all the best things Mondo has to offer. The desserts are also astoundingly addictive.

Opened in 2000, Mondo Australia’s first organic restaurant, catering and cooking school was inspired by a concern about the increasing use of chemical pesticides, preservatives and genetically-modified additives in everyday foods. Mondo focuses on the superior taste of organic foods and the team is dedicated to sourcing the highest quality produce available.

Since opening, Mondo has been a stalwart of local Brisbane diners, and highly regarded nationally.

The wine list features over 100 wines, an impressive selection of premium wines from the top regions of Australia, New Zealand, Spain and Italy, including organic wines from small vineyards.

Mondo offers both open air and air-conditioned dining rooms, and caters for weddings and corporate events.

Good evening! I want to say thank you. Thank you for the experience that I was able to share with an international colleague at your fine establishment, two weeks ago. The physical setting of Mondo Organics, inside and out, puts most other restaurants to shame.
The service is exceptional and the food is exhaustingly delicious. I've worked in hospitality for many years, both in kitchens and on the floor in some of the finest places in both Australia and Europe, and to see the passion your whole team has, is... mind-blowing.

I will admit, that in the shoes of a diner, this is the first restaurant that has enticed me to return as soon as I can, for yet another sumptuous meal. So, thank you Brenda and Sonja, and to your whole team of experts. Your combined talents and what you've produced (and continue to produce!) is what will keep Mondo's alive for a very long time.

The uniqueness of your culture, the ideologies behind your cuisine and the comfortability of the dining area were all supportive of what we both perceived (on the night) to be your corporate vision.
