PROFILED BY DE GROOTS MEDIAFor a long time Terry and Cindy Leung, the owners and operators of Food and Soul, have been passionate about just that – food. Originally from Hong Kong, Terry’s family history is steeped in the art of traditional Chinese cuisine. He took his lead from his parents and enjoyed experimenting with many dishes to help hone his style. Being creative with cuisine from a young age has helped tremendously in identifying his preferred style of cooking. Terry started Food and Soul in 2003 and has brought to the plate his many years of experience to create his unique take on Australian and Asian cuisine.
Step inside to enjoy the cosy elegance that infuses the atmosphere within the tastefully decorated dining room. Terry prides himself on his food being coeliac and vegetarian friendly, even though it meant going back to the drawing board and reinventing some of his sauces and recipes, so that everyone is welcomed in with open arms. Some of the standout dishes from the extensive menu include the pan-flashed sugar and chilli calamari served with a petite Greek salad. Or Thai red curry seafood lasagne with ocean fresh fish fillet, king prawns, soft shell crab fritter & fresh spinach. For the sweet toothed among you, try the ice-cream crepe with burnt butter and orange sauce.
