PROFILED BY DE GROOTS MEDIAThis place is usually packed, the services is always great and the food, well yes, let’s talk about the amazing food. There are more than 150 dishes on offer – quite impressive. You can select from soups, entrees, make-your-own rice paper wraps, pork, noodle plates, vegetarian, egg, chicken, beef, seafood and rice dishes, a few picks from neighbouring countries and a few chef suggestions. To reduce prolonged reading, it’s wise to come with a purpose or, alternatively, whim it and just pick a number (no matter what you end up with, it’s bound to be good).
The meals here are fresh and flavoursome – you can taste the market quality vegies but most of all the creations are authentic and the service is tops. A good way to begin is with a bowl of won ton soup. Its plump meaty parcels make this into a bowl of Asian magic. The tofu used in the lemongrass salad has fantastic texture, and the flavours are balanced with just enough zest to make them irresistible. A light “summer noodle” main, which comes tousled with a decent serve of diced spring rolls, dances in your mouth, while other standouts include the “bird’s nest seafood” – a theatrical mix of fresh seafood – and a bold Malaysian satay beef with steamed white rice. There’s a reason this place is chockers all week!
